What does it mean to fulfill your destiny? Paul’s destination was Rome to present Christ to the upper echelons of the Roman world. The idea? Since Rome was a world power, if you win Rome and you win the world.

Read: Acts 28:23-24

Most people would be embarrassed to have people see them as a prisoner. So why did Paul encourage people to come meet with him in Rome, since he was a political prisoner? How many came? What was Paul’s message to the Roman citizens who came? What resulted in these meetings? Are you embarrassed to have people over? Ask God to give you opportunities to share Christ with others.

Read: Hebrews 6:13-20

Faith is so important when life becomes a shipwreck. Paul and the others on the ship had lost human hope. When they realized that they were in shipwreck alley, at one point, it says in Acts that they lowered the anchors to slow their out-of-control lives in the storm. Christian, you must know when to drop anchor. The LORD has provided us a divine anchor. “we have an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” His name is Jesus. He is your anchor.

Read: Matthew 14:24-33

Where is Jesus when your life is being battered by the hurricanes of life? What did He say to the disciples in the midst of their storm? Is that even possible? How does peace come when you are in trouble? What did Peter do? Today ask the Lord to grab your hand and walk with you through your storms. Remember, keep your eye on Jesus, not the storm.
