What was happening in David’s world in Ch. 30? What happened to their
families? What did David and his men immediately do? Why such despair?
Think about why David’s men turned on him? Have you ever been very
distraught? What were the emotions you felt? What did David do? From
where did he fight strength? What is an ephod? Who used the ephod? For
what purpose were the Urim and Thummim? They had marks on them
signifying yes or no, true or false. What did using them mean to David?
What is true today when we need God’s advice? Are we supposed to ‘roll
the dice’? Who can we go to for advice?
